Giovanni Manto

Giovanni Manto serves as the Vice President of Optical Networks at Nokia since March 2014, focusing on the development of next-generation optical solutions for global markets. Prior to this role, Giovanni held the position of Vice President - Ethernet Fiber Access at Ericsson from July 2010 to December 2012, where leadership was provided for a new initiative involving WDM Packet OTN fiber access solutions. Giovanni's extensive experience at Nortel Networks spanned over a decade, featuring roles such as Vice President of Product Management and Director of Product Management, where responsibilities included market analysis for new IP phone systems and leading various product development strategies. Giovanni holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Concordia University, earned between September 1982 and June 1986.
