Elsbeth van Dam

Elsbeth van Dam serves as the AI Team Lead and Computer Vision / Machine Learning Researcher at Noldus Information Technology since December 2004, focusing on research in Computer Vision, Machine Learning, and Activity Recognition, leading to the development of two Rodent Behavior Recognition modules for the EthoVision XT product. Since 2016, Elsbeth has generalized recognition techniques and applied advanced machine learning methods across various domains, including NeuroScience, Livestock, and Health. Additionally, Elsbeth holds the role of Sr Software Engineer and PhD Candidate at the Donders Institute for Brain, Cognition and Behaviour, addressing challenges related to behavior recognition in multi-modal online data streams during PhD research. Prior experience includes a position as Software Engineer and Project Leader at Human Inference BV from September 1997 to December 2004. Elsbeth holds a Master of Arts in Philosophy of Mind and a Bachelor in Mathematics from Radboud University, alongside earlier studies at Utrecht University.
