Laura began their career in 2012 as a Laboratory Assistant at the Cooperative Institute for Research in Environmental Sciences, where they gained experience in sample collection, laboratory analysis, and data recording. In 2015, Laura worked as a Professional Research Assistant at the same institute, assisting with research on lakes and streams and helping prepare reports and publications.

In 2015, Laura also took on a role as a Listing Administrator at TRELORA, a real estate company. Laura then joined Colorado Parks and Wildlife in 2016 as an Invasive Species Research Assistant.

Laura spent a significant portion of their career at Trelora Real Estate, starting as a Transaction Coordinator in 2017 and progressing to roles such as Lead Agent, Assistant General Manager, General Manager, and ultimately, Director of Market Expansion.
