Natalia Gomes has a wealth of work experience in the financial sector. Natalia started their career in 2009 as a Senior Project Manager at PwC South Africa, where they managed the day to day operational function of the business. In 2015, they moved on to become a Private Financial Consultant at Onelogix Group Limited, where they prepared and reviewed six-year trust accounts and all financial statements from inception. In 2016, they were engaged as a Private Financial Consultant at Nando's Services (Pty) Ltd, where they managed the financial function for multiple divisions within the Group. In 2018, they were engaged to complete a special assignment as a Private Financial Consultant at Universal Music (Pty) Ltd. Finally, in 2019, they joined Nomanini as a Strategic Manager, Regional Partnerships Manager for Southern Africa, and Head of Finance.

Natalia Gomes has a varied educational background. Natalia attended Jeppe High School for Girls from 2000-2004. From 2005-2007, they obtained a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting - Cum Laude from the University of Johannesburg. In 2008, they obtained a Honours Bachelor of Accounting Science (CTA) from the same institution. In 2021, they received a Digital Finance for All certification from the Digital Frontiers Institute. Additionally, they hold a CA (SA) certification from SAICA CA(SA). In 2019, they completed a Diploma in Social Entrepreneurship from GIBS Business School (Gordon Institute of Business Science) and also participated in their Social Entrepreneurship Program.
