Omar Tawfik is a Senior Compiler Engineer at Nomic Foundation, focusing on the design and development of Language Analysis APIs for Ethereum and Solidity since January 2022. Prior to this role, Omar served as a Senior Software Engineer at Cash App, where tools for thousands of developers were built, and at Facebook, contributing to the Code & Language Experience team to enhance developer productivity. Omar's extensive experience also includes positions as Compilers Engineer II and Software Engineer at Microsoft, where contributions were made to the .NET foundation and Microsoft Azure, as well as serving as a Software Engineer at Code Lab and Wireless Stars. Omar began a career as a Freelance Web Developer, creating websites and applications, after earning a Bachelor's degree in Computer and Information Science from Ain Shams University.
