Senior Computer Vision & C++ Developer at Nomitri

Claudio Caraffi has been working in the field of computer vision since 2004. In 2004, they began their PhD at the Dipartimento di Ingegneria dell'Informazione, Università di Parma. From 2003 to 2006, they worked as a co-worker at Oshkosh Truck Corporation, where they developed and was responsible for vision perception systems for autonomous vehicles. In 2008, they began working at Toyota Motor Europe as an Advanced Technology Engineer, where they created and developed new concepts for traffic scene perception and risk detection. From 2013 to 2017, they worked at SMI SensoMotoric Instruments GmbH as an Experte für Bildverarbeitung - Computer Vision Engineer. In 2017, they worked at both Apple and Oculus VR as a Computer Vision Engineer. In 2019, they took a sabbatical in their home town and then resumed their career in 2020 at Nomitri GmbH as a Senior Computer Vision & C++ Developer.

Claudio Caraffi obtained their PhD in Computer Vision from Università degli Studi di Parma between 2005 and 2007. Before that, they completed a research stay at The Ohio State University in Computer Vision from 2003 to 2004. Claudio also obtained an MSc in Computer Science from Università degli Studi di Parma between 1996 and 2004. In addition, they hold a C++ certification from TestDome obtained in October 2020.
