Alex Barron

Alex Barron is an experienced quantitative analyst currently working as an Associate in the rates group at Nomura since December 2022. Previously, Alex served as a J.L Doob Research Assistant Professor at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign from August 2019 to August 2022, focusing on harmonic analysis and partial differential equations while teaching various mathematics courses. Prior experience includes roles as a Graduate Student Instructor and Graduate Student Researcher at Brown University from September 2014 to May 2019, where instruction included calculus and linear algebra, alongside collaborative research that resulted in multiple publications.
