Sanat Vallikappen

Sanat Vallikappen is an experienced communications professional currently serving as the Head of External Communications and Branding & Marketing for Asia ex-Japan at Nomura since November 2014. In this role, Sanat oversees media relations, internal communications, branding and marketing, as well as events. Prior to Nomura, Sanat worked as a Banking & Finance Reporter at Bloomberg, specializing in news reporting on banking in Southeast Asia, and gained experience as a Staff Writer at LiveMint covering private equity and venture capital in India. Sanat's career also includes roles as a Correspondent at DNA - Daily News & Analysis, and as a Copy Editor at The Economic Times, along with experience as a Crime Reporter at Mid Day. Sanat holds an MBA with a specialization in Finance from the National University of Singapore and an additional MBA from IE Business School, complemented by a B.A. Honours in Economics from St. Stephen's College, Delhi.
