Interim Chief Operations Officer at Nonagen Bioscience

Wayne Hogrefe has had a long and successful career in the field of bioscience. Wayne began their career in 1979 as the Associate Director of Immunopathology at St. Luke's Hospital/CWRU. In 1987, they joined Focus Diagnostics as Director of Scientific Affairs, then moved up to Director of R&D and Chief Clinical Immunology. In 2007, they took on the role of VP Clinical Trials at Focus Diagnostics. In 2016, they became Sr Director of Business Development and VP of Vaccines at Q² Solutions. In 2020, they started their own consulting business, Hogrefe Consulting, Inc., as the Principal. In 2021, they became Acting Chief Scientific Officer at Aalto Bio Reagents Ltd. Most recently, in 2022, they joined Nonagen Bioscience Corporation as both a Member of the Board of Directors and Interim Chief Operations Officer.

Wayne Hogrefe earned their Ph.D. in Experimental Pathology from Case Western Reserve University between 1974 and 1979. Wayne then obtained a BT in chemical technology from the University of Dayton between 1969 and 1972. In 1987, they obtained the American Board of Medical Laboratory Immunology (ABMLI) certification from the American Society of Microbiology. In 1991, they obtained a Certificate of Qualification in Diagnostic Immunology from the New York State Department of Health.
