Stephane Benfredj

Stephane Benfredj has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Stephane is currently working as the Director of Solution Architecture at Noname Security since September 2021. Prior to this, they served as the Director of Solution Engineering - Network and Security, EMEA at VMware from August 2020 to September 2021.

Stephane also has extensive experience with Avi Networks, which is now a part of VMware. Stephane worked as the Director of Solution Engineering - Avi Networks, EMEA from August 2019 to August 2020. Before that, they held the position of Senior Director Pre-sales Systems Engineering, EMEA and India in May-July 2019. Stephane also played a significant role in pioneering Avi Networks' operations in Southern Europe, serving as the Senior Pre-sales Systems Engineering Leader for Southern Europe from February 2017 to April 2019. Avi Networks is a software-defined application services company that provides load balancing, application analytics, predictive autoscaling, and security for on-premises or public cloud applications.

Prior to joining Avi Networks, Stephane worked at Infoblox, a network automation and security company. Stephane held various positions at Infoblox, including Director of Pre-sales Systems Engineering Europe, Middle-East & Africa from January 2015 to January 2017, Pre-sales Systems Engineering Manager for SEMEA from May 2009 to January 2015, and Senior/Principal Pre-sales Systems Engineer for Southern Europe from November 2005 to April 2009.

Stephane's earlier career includes roles such as Pre-sales Engineer & Product Manager at Overlap Reseaux from July 2002 to October 2005, Network Consultant & Cisco Trainer at Global Knowledge from October 1999 to June 2002, Post-sales Support Engineer at Alcatel Business Systems from October 1997 to September 1999, and Trainee - Technical Marketing at Philips Communication d'Entreprise from 1996 to 1997.

Stephane Benfredj obtained an Engineer's degree in Telecommunications and Electronics from Ecole centrale de Lyon in the years 1993 to 1996. Stephane then pursued an MBA degree in Management from Aix-Marseille Graduate School of Management - IAE during the year 1996 to 1997. Prior to these, they completed their Preparatory Classes in Mathematics at Lycée Jean Perrin, Marseille from 1990 to 1993. Additionally, Stephane holds various certifications including being a Certified Cisco Systems Instructor (CCSI), Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE), and IPv6 Sage from institutions such as Cisco and Hurricane Electric.
