Tameka Lockhart-Spann

Talent & Development Associate at Nonprofit HR

With over 9 years of experience working in HR, Tameka works to interact with client POCs and employees handling day to day HR operational activities, programs and projects. This includes providing full spectrum HR support and assistance to employees, managers, HR team members, HR vendors and external agencies. Tameka has a passion for analyzing client needs to ensure and deliver value-added resolutions.

Prior to joining Nonprofit HR, Tameka served as a HR expert in the Government Defense industry, which also includes active-duty experience as a HR professional in the U.S. Navy. She is experienced in supporting organizations with over 650+ employees and maintains expertise comprised of employee relations, HRIS system implementation, onboarding/offboarding, benefits administration, employee engagement, policy development and compliance. She enjoys the unique opportunity to observe and explore the multiple sides of employer/employee concerns through evaluating impact/results of potential solutions. She eagerly takes on the tall order of helping to build and sustain an inclusive work environment where everyone thrives.

Tameka received Bachelor of Arts (BA) in HR Management and a Master of Business Administration in HR Management (MBA-HR) from Saint Leo University. She is currently enrolled in Master of Jurisprudence (MJ) in Labor and Employment Law program at Tulane University. Nearing the end of the MJ-LEL program, she plans to enroll in a program to become a Certified Workplace Mediator & Trainer. In her spare time, enjoys interior decorating, hiking nature trails and traveling with family.
