Veronica Popescu

Veronica Popescu is an accomplished Associate Professor of Clinical Neuroimmunology at Hasselt University since March 2016, also serving as a guest professor and research scientist. In addition, Veronica Popescu has been an MS neurologist at Noorderhart and chair of the Ethics Committee since October 2015. Engagements include vice chair at NETWERK PALLIATIEVE ZORG LIMBURG from April 2018 to December 2021 and guest lecturer at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, where lectures focused on imaging in MS and dementia for the Master in Neurosciences. Earlier roles included clinical fellow at Revalidatie & MS Centrum and various positions at icometrix, including MS medical expert and MS business unit manager. Veronica Popescu completed a PhD in Medicine at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam and holds an MD from Universitatea de Medicină și Farmacie „Carol Davila” din București. Research efforts have included investigations on MRI brain atrophy in multiple sclerosis and the relationship between cerebral hemorrhage and dementia.
