Rutger Bottema

Rutger Bottema currently serves as the Categorie Manager Facilitair at Noordwest Ziekenhuisgroep, beginning in January 2024. Previously, Bottema held the position of Category Manager for Hygiene and Personal Protective Equipment, Investment Goods, and Diagnostics at Mediq from July 2017 to July 2023, where comprehensive commercial strategies were developed for over 9,000 SKUs, along with managing the Ostomy care category. Prior to this, Bottema was a Commercial Excellence Manager at Danone, implementing successful programs for primary care providers, and also co-founded MijnZorgKeuze, an independent comparison website for blood glucose monitors. Experience includes marketing and management roles at Abbott Diabetes Care, PARMALUX BV, BIONAL Pharma B.V., Boehringer Ingelheim, and Nutricia. Bottema holds a Drs in Business Economics from Erasmus University Rotterdam and attended the University of Groningen and Gemeentelijke Scholengemeenschap Woensel (GSW) for earlier education.
