Lydia Esdaile is an experienced executive and creative professional with a diverse background in marketing, communications, and film production. Currently serving as Executive Vice President and Executive Director of Marketing and Corporate Communications at Nor-Cal FDC since November 2015, Lydia manages all marketing and communications efforts for the organization. Prior roles include Director of Marketing and Corporate Communications and Director of Corporate Communications, where Lydia expanded marketing initiatives and developed effective messaging strategies. As the Founder and Producer at Sweet Dreams Kid Productions, Lydia oversees independent film projects. Additional experience includes positions as Senior Communications Consultant at VISIONS, Public Relations Director at HMS Entertainment, Public Relations Director at Ray Allen Enterprises, Community Relations Director at Hartford Stage, and roles in client relations at Connecticut Mutual Insurance Company and Travelers Insurance. Lydia holds a BA in English from Wesleyan University and a Professional Certificate in Producing, Cinematography, and Film/Video Production from UCLA.

Nor- Cal FDC’s mission is to drive the local economy by supporting small business owners and entrepreneurs through access to capital. Their lending, banking, and technology partners provide greater access to a variety of sources of capital to small business owners in Northern California, Silicon Valley and the San Francisco Bay area. In 2014-15, Nor-Cal FDC was recognized by the U.S Treasury as a leader of providing capital access to businesses in Low-to-Moderate income communities. Nor-Cal FDC was also recognized by the State of California for its loan portfolio diversity that includes minorities and women. Per the State of California annual production reports, Nor-Cal FDC had accounted for over 40% for the entire state of guarantees to minority borrowers and over 30% to women owned businesses.
