Pratishtha Gupta

Pratishtha Gupta is a Mechanical Engineering Lead at Nord Quantique since October 2023, previously serving as a Mechanical Design Engineer. Prior to this, Pratishtha worked at Sanctuary AI on robotics hardware, specifically focusing on the mechanical design for the 17DOF hand subsystem of the Phoenix humanoid. Pratishtha has a strong academic background with a Master of Applied Science in Mechanical and Mechatronics Engineering from the University of Waterloo, where responsibilities included stress/strain modeling through graduate research and serving as a teaching assistant for various engineering courses. Additionally, Pratishtha gained experience as a research intern at the Indian Institute of Science on passive exoskeletons, and as a robotics engineer in a Mitacs program at Université de Sherbrooke, contributing to the development of robotic grippers. Notable managerial experience includes serving as the Technical Manager for the Indian Rover Challenge, overseeing competition operations, and leading design tasks for a Mars rover project. Earlier work experience includes R&D robotics at Bajaj Auto Ltd and mechanical engineering roles in university-sponsored robotic projects.
