Geir Egil Johansen has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Geir Egil started their career as a "Lærling installasjon gr. L" at Ing. Modnes & Mosness Inst. AS from September 1987 to August 1989. Geir Egil then worked as an "Elektromontør gr. L" at Ing. Mosness & Mosness Inst. AS from October 1990 to May 1991. Geir Egil joined Ing. Mosness & Mosness Inst AS again in June 1991 as a "Saksbehandler Installasjon gr. L" until October 1991.

From September 2004 onwards, Geir took on multiple responsibilities as the "CTO Telecom / OT-Network / SCADA Platform / ENA-authorization - Fagansvarlig Telematikk". In this role, they managed the entire OT Network and ICS systems, supervised the Network Manager Platform, and was responsible for the Control Center, SCADA, FRONTEND, COMMUNICATIONS, and RTU in hydro power stations and substations.
