Andres Vesilind is an experienced financial crime prevention and economics professional with a substantial career at Nordea since August 2008. Currently serving as Head of GFCP TMSI Estonia, Andres manages 16 teams and oversees transaction monitoring for Nordea's customers in the Nordic countries. Previous roles at Nordea include leading the Estonian transaction monitoring investigation unit and managing the Group AML & Sanctions teams in the Baltics. Before Nordea, Andres contributed to the Estonian Business School as Chair of Economics and Finance while also lecturing on finance-related subjects. With a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Tartu and CFA Chartered status, Andres possesses a robust academic foundation complementing extensive practical experience in financial regulation and economic research from positions at the Bank of Estonia.
