Jari Torkkel is an experienced technology professional with a strong background in software architecture and product management. Currently serving as Chief System Designer in Digital Banking Engineering at Nordea since October 2017, Torkkel previously held key positions at Microsoft from April 2014 to September 2017, including Principal Program Manager and Principal SW Architect. Prior to Microsoft, Torkkel had a significant tenure at Nokia from June 1990 to March 2014, where roles included Principal Technology Officer, Director of Core System Product and Portfolio Management, and CTO of Nokia Home Communications. Torkkel's early career included SW development and architecture for various products, notably contributing to innovations such as the first ADSL router with Wi-Fi support. Torkkel holds a Master of Science degree in Computer Datacommunication from Teknillinen korkeakoulu-Tekniska högskolan.
