Javier Alcantara Pla

Javier Alcantara Pla is an experienced engineering professional specializing in wind turbine blade structural design and stress analysis. Currently serving as Group Lead Blade Structural Design at Nordex / Acciona Windpower since May 2016, Javier oversees new blade developments and manages team performance throughout the product life cycle. Previous roles include Wind Turbine Load & Stress Engineer at United Energies MTOI SL, Advance Stress Engineer - Team Lead at Altran, Chief Composite Stress Engineer at JADE Systems S.L., and Composite Stress Engineer at Gamesa, among others. Javier holds both a Master's degree and an Engineer's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, attained between 1999 and 2005.
