Klas Tikkanen

Joined in July 2011 as part of Nordic Capital’s effort to institutionalise its successful investment franchise and is today responsible for the CFO function, legal and tax, HR, sustainability, communications, public affairs, IT/IS, and liaising with Fund operations on Jersey. He has helped drive Nordic Capital’s transformation the past decade, including the development of its strategy, governance, culture, and operations, and sits on Nordic Capital’s top management company board, the investment review committees for Nordic Capital X and Nordic Capital Evolution, portfolio review committee, fair value committee, operations advisory board, and value portfolio committee, as well as chairing the HR and compensation committee and charities boards. Klas has six years’ experience as a management consultant with McKinsey & Company, followed by two decades in senior management functions, mostly as a CFO in private equity or bank owned portfolio companies. Having throughout his pre-Nordic Capital career worked almost exclusively with turnarounds and complex carve-outs, Klas brought extensive experience from transforming and building high performing organisations. Klas holds an MSc in Business Administration and Economics from the Stockholm School of Economics, with an international exchange programme major in Finance from the Wharton Business School at the University of Pennsylvania.
