Mikael Brännström

Mikael Brännström has a diverse and extensive work experience. Mikael is currently working as the CTO at Nordic Growth Market (NGM), a position they have held since January 2022. Prior to this role, from March 2018 to January 2022, Mikael served as a Senior Developer/Architect, responsible for developing and architecting the Elasticia trading system.

Before joining NGM, Mikael worked at Tradedoubler as the Chief Architect from January 2017 to February 2018. Mikael'sresponsibilities included overseeing the technology stack, coordinating software development standards, and driving migration to containerized deployment. Mikael also worked as a Senior Software Developer at Tradedoubler from September 2015 to December 2016, focusing on analysis and machine learning on big data and development of real-time bidding engines.

From August 2012 to August 2015, Mikael served as a Software Developer/Architect at Cinnober Financial Technology, where they worked on the development of real-time clearing systems. Prior to that, they worked at Klarna AB as a Senior Developer/Tech Lead from March 2011 to August 2012, primarily developing REST APIs and working within the dunning/invoicing area.

Mikael also has experience at NASDAQ OMX, where they worked as a Senior Developer for a brief period in early 2011. Additionally, they have a long history with Nordic Growth Market, starting as a Senior Developer in June 2006 and working on the design and implementation of the next-generation trading platform.

Lastly, Mikael began their career as a Research Engineer at FOI - Swedish Defence Research Agency from February 2002 to May 2006. During this time, they conducted research in wireless ground sensor networks and developed various frameworks and simulations.

Mikael Brännström completed a five-year M Sc program in Computer Engineering at Linköping University from 1997 to 2002. Additionally, they obtained a Scrum Master certification from Crisp in 2008.
