Sharon Matheny

Sharon Matheny, MSNS, PhD, currently serves as the Manager of Nutrition Science Communications at Nordic Naturals, where responsibilities include leading a team in the research and composition of health and nutrition science documents and advising on the scientific accuracy of marketing collateral. Prior roles include Principal Development Scientist at Natera, where involvement included the development of noninvasive genetic screening products, and positions at Thermo Fisher Scientific and Life Technologies focusing on molecular assay development. Sharon also has academic experience as an Adjunct Professor at Texas A&M University. Educational qualifications encompass a Master's in Nutrition Sciences from the University of Texas at Austin, a Ph.D. in Cell/Cellular and Molecular Biology from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas, and a Bachelor's in Psychology from Northern Arizona University.
