François Baldassari

François Baldassari is a seasoned technology leader with extensive experience in embedded software and device reliability engineering. Currently serving as VP of Software Services at Nordic Semiconductor since July 2025, François is focusing on creating optimal cloud infrastructure for hardware teams as part of the Memfault acquisition. François founded and led Memfault from January 2019 to July 2025, pioneering the first platform dedicated to Device Reliability Engineering. Previous roles include Embedded Software & FPGA Manager and Senior Embedded Software Engineer at Oculus VR (2016-2019), Embedded Software Engineer at Pebble Tech (2013-2016), and Embedded Software Engineer at Oracle (2011-2013). Additionally, François contributed to research at Carnegie Mellon University's Robotics Institute in 2010. François holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Brown University and participated in Y Combinator's W19 cohort.
