Karol Schober

Karol Schober is an accomplished Principal Research and Development Engineer at Nordic Semiconductor ASA since December 2020, specializing in carrier certification, 3GPP, and NTN development. Prior to this role, Karol served as a Senior Researcher at Nokia Networks from March 2014 to December 2020, focusing on 3GPP standardization research in areas such as latency reduction and NR-wideband operations. Karol's earlier experience includes a tenure as a PhD student and researcher at Aalto University School of Science and Technology from November 2006 to March 2014 and contributions to 3GPP standardization at Renesas Mobile Corporation. Karol began professional work at STROM Telecom as a Linux Drivers developer. Educational qualifications include a D.Sc. (Tech) in Signal Processing for Communications from Aalto University and an MSc in Radioelectronics from Czech Technical University in Prague, as well as an exchange program in signal processing at Milwaukee School of Engineering.
