Oyvind Birkenes is an experienced executive currently serving as the Executive Vice President of the Long-Range Business Unit at Nordic Semiconductor, where responsibilities encompass P&L management, R&D, and product strategy. Prior to this role, Oyvind held significant positions including CEO of Airthings, a leader in indoor air quality technology, and board member roles at Eliot and Monil. With a strong background in low power RF solutions from Texas Instruments, Oyvind has led various teams and initiatives focused on growth and innovation across several companies, including Chipcon and NERA SatCom. Oyvind holds a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Minnesota and a Bachelor’s degree in Microelectronics from Kongsberg College of Engineering.
