Chiara Romano

Chiara Romano is an experienced Textile Conservator with a robust background in preservation and conservation of textiles. Currently holding a permanent position at Stiftelsen Nordiska museet since November 2016, Chiara previously served as CEO at Nordic Upholstery & Textile Conservation from September 2014 to June 2017. Chiara’s experience includes a fellowship at The Metropolitan Museum of Art's Textile Conservation Department (September 2012 - September 2014) and various roles in textile conservation in Madrid, including positions at Fundación Mapfre and Museo del Traje. Chiara's educational background includes a Master's Degree in Textile Conservation and a Bachelor's Degree in Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Heritage, both obtained from the University of Palermo.
