Jan Olov Westerberg

Jan Olov Westerberg is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in management and governance within cultural and environmental sectors. Currently serving as Chairperson of the Board at Stiftelsen Nordiska museet since February 2021 and Fastighetsdirektör at Statens fastighetsverk since June 2018, Westerberg also holds the position of Director of properties at the National Board of Properties, overseeing properties outside of the Stockholm region. Previous roles include CEO of Aragoi ideas, Chair of the Programme and Policy Committee at IUCN, and Director General at the Swedish Museum of Natural History. Early career experience includes serving as Director of Environment at Länsstyrelsen i Norrbottens län, where responsibilities encompassed nature protection and spatial planning.
