Nicola Kelly

Nicola Kelly Ph.D. is an experienced professional in the field of biomedical engineering, currently serving as the Product Development Process (PDP) Manager and Senior Product Development Engineer at Nordson MEDICAL since June 2018. In addition to this role, Nicola is an Adjunct Lecturer in Biomedical Engineering at the National University of Ireland, Galway, where contributions include guiding students and leading research projects. Nicola's research includes the development of an endobronchial stent for broncho-tracheal cancer treatment and collaborative projects with neoSurgical LTD, funded by Enterprise Ireland. A Ph.D. holder from the National University of Ireland, Galway, Nicola's thesis focused on the inelastic behavior of trabecular bone, exploring various aspects of total knee arthroplasty and spinal fusion devices. Previous experience includes project leadership in R&D for PTA catheter design at Surmodics and a role as a Quality Engineer at Medtronic Vascular.
