Allan Plesner Søndergaard

Allan Plesner Søndergaard has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Allan Plesner is currently serving as the Chairman of the Board at CarbonCuts, a position they assumed in October 2022. Prior to that, they held the position of Head of Commercial at BlueNord ASA starting from September 2022. Allan Plesner also served as the Commercial Director at BlueNord ASA from August 2019 until October 2022.

Before their time at BlueNord ASA, Allan worked at Shell in different capacities. From February 2017 to July 2019, they held the role of Senior Commercial Advisor and Transformation Lead (FFF). Allan Plesner also served as the Chief of Staff, Crisis Management from January 2014 to July 2019. Prior to that, they worked as a Commercial Advisor - upstream from September 2012 to January 2017. Additionally, Allan held the positions of Regional Credit Management Implementation Manager - Europe from June 2008 to August 2012, Credit Manager & Nordic Change Agent from February 2006 to May 2008, and Business Analyst - upstream from October 2002 to January 2006.

Before joining Shell, Allan worked as a Financial Manager at Emerge A/S from January 2000 to March 2001. Allan Plesner also held the role of Sales Controller / Contract Manager at Siemens, Denmark from January 1998 to December 2000.

Allan's earlier work experience includes roles such as Editor at Forlaget FSR from October 1997 to December 1997, and Marketing Consultant at the German Danish Chamber of Commerce from 1994 to 1997.

Allan Plesner Søndergaard has a diverse educational background spanning several institutions and areas of study. Allan Plesner began their education at Kildegaard Gymnasium, where they earned their Student degree with a focus on Matematisk - samfundsfag from 1986 to 1989.

Continuing their education, Allan pursued a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Commercial Law at Copenhagen Business School from 1990 to 1994. During this time, they conducted a dissertation titled "Cultural and Legal Caveats for Danish Construction Companies on the German market."

In 1992, Allan participated in an ERASMUS program at Christian Albrechts Universitat zu Kiel in Germany, where they studied law. Allan Plesner returned to Copenhagen Business School for their Master of Business Administration and Commercial Law, known as Cand.Merc.Jur., from 1994 to 1997.

Further adding to their knowledge and skills, Allan sought further education in the field of management by attending Alliance Manchester Business School from 2010 to 2012. Allan Plesner obtained an Executive MBA degree with a specialization in Global Business Management.

In 2013, Allan enrolled in a program offered by Stanford University, focusing on Decision Quality in management.

In addition to their formal education, Allan Plesner Søndergaard has also received a Board Certificate from the Board Company in February 2022.
