Courtney M. Madden is an accomplished legal professional with extensive experience in leadership roles across various organizations. Currently serving as Senior Advisor and General Counsel at the Norfolk County, MA Sheriff's Office since 2021, Courtney previously founded and co-chaired the Progressive Training Pipeline Table from 2016 to 2021, a consortium aimed at fostering diverse leadership. Between 2014 and 2020, Courtney held multiple significant positions at the New Leaders Council, including Executive Director of the NLC Institute and General Counsel. Additional prior roles include Director of Operations for both Gina Raimondo for Governor and the Rhode Island Democratic Party in 2014, and Government Affairs Coordinator at the Close Up Foundation. Courtney began a legal career with positions such as Legislative and Appropriations Fellow for The Honorable Jesse L. Jackson, Jr. and various roles in legal education and practice, culminating in a JD with Distinction from Suffolk University Law School. A BA in Politics from The Catholic University of America was completed in 2004.
