Nathan Simms

Nathan Simms currently serves as the President and Chief Executive Officer of the Norfolk Redevelopment and Housing Authority, a position held since November 2023. Previously, Simms was the Division Manager for Federal Programs at Fulton County Government and the Executive Director of the Housing Authority of Prince George’s County. Additional experience includes roles such as Director of Development and Executive Director at Daytona Beach Housing Authority and Daytona Beach Housing Development Corporation, as well as Interim Vice President for Real Estate Investment Finance and Development and Senior Director of Real Estate Development at the Atlanta Housing Authority. Past positions also encompass Assistant Commissioner for New Construction Finance at the NYC Department of Housing Preservation & Development, Supervisory Loan Guarantee Specialist at the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, and Deputy Director at the DC Department of Housing and Community Development. Education includes a Master of Public Administration from American University and a Bachelor's degree in Banking and Finance from Bowie State University.
