Kristian Staum

Kristian Staum is an experienced marketing professional with a robust background in the transportation and logistics sectors. Currently serving as the Director of Marketing at Norfolk Southern Corporation since January 2007, Kristian oversees all commercial activities for Sand, Natural Gas Liquids (NGLs), and Waste commodities. Previous roles at Norfolk Southern include Group Manager for Waste Products and NGLs, as well as Senior Market Manager for Iron & Steel markets, where Kristian worked with major multinational companies to enhance revenue and profitability. Additional positions include Senior Account Manager, Manager of Business Development in the Chemicals Group, and Product Manager, all contributing to significant revenue growth and market presence. Prior experience includes consulting for high-tech start-ups, managing a self-storage facility, and coaching soccer. Kristian holds an MBA in Marketing from Virginia Tech and a BS in Marketing from Concord University, along with completion of the Norfolk Southern Executive Development Program at the University of Virginia.
