Bernt Christian Brun

Bernt Christian Brun has extensive experience in the finance industry. Bernt Christian is currently serving as the Vice President at Norfund since August 2019. Prior to this, they worked as the Chief Investment Officer at Fronteer Solutions from August 2014 to August 2019. Bernt Christian also held the role of Head of Research/Chief Strategist at Danske Bank Markets, Norway from April 2012 to August 2014. Before that, they worked at Formuesforvaltning AS, where they served as the Chief Investment Officer from February 2009 to April 2012, and as an Investment Principal from September 2006 to February 2009. Bernt Christian gained valuable experience as a Senior Portfolio Manager at Norges Bank Investment Management from April 1998 to August 2006. Prior to that, they worked as a Researcher at Norges Bank - Research Department from January 1997 to April 1998. Bernt Christian began their career in the finance industry as an Executive Officer at the Ministry of Finance, where they worked from January 1992 to August 1993.

Bernt Christian Brun pursued their graduate studies in Economics at UC Santa Barbara from 1988 to 1989. However, the specific degree obtained during this period is unknown. Following this, they joined the Norwegian School of Economics (NHH) to complete their Ph.D. in Economics, a program which they successfully completed from 1993 to 1996.
