Per Kristian Sbertoli has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Per Kristian started their career in 2001 as the Vice-President and International Secretary of the Norwegian Young Christian Democrats. From there, they worked as an Election Secretary for the Oslo Christian Democrat City Council group and then as a Political Advisor for the Oslo Christian Democratic Party City Council group. In 2004, they became a Political Advisor for the Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs in the Norwegian Christian Democratic Party Parliamentary group. In 2005, they transitioned to become a Political Advisor for the Standing Committee on Local Government in the same parliamentary group, followed by serving as a 2.deputy member of Parliament for the Norwegian Christian Democratic Party. From 2007 to 2010, Per was the International Secretary of the Norwegian Christian Democratic Party, responsible for the party's international work and foreign policies. Per Kristian then joined Plan Norge in 2010, first as a Political Advisor and later as the Director of Policy, Advocacy and Campaigns. In 2015, they became a Senior Communications Advisor and the Head of Renewable Finance at Miljøstiftelsen ZERO. Currently, Per Kristian Sbertoli is the Head of Public Relations at Norfund, where they also previously served as a Member of the Board of Directors.

Per Kristian Sbertoli's education history includes completing high school at Persbråten videregående skole from 1994 to 1997. Per Kristian then pursued a Bachelor's degree in Political Science at the University of Oslo (UiO) from 1997 to 2006, earning the degree of Cand.Polit. (MA). In addition, they participated in an exchange program at the University of Eastern Finland in 2003, where they studied Human Geography and Sociology for a brief period.

Norfund - The Norwegian Investment Fund for Developing Countries, is owned by the Norwegian Government and serves as an instrument in Norwegian development policy. Norfund contributes to poverty reduction and economic development in the poorest countries through investments in profitable businesses and transfer of knowledge and technology. Norfund invests equity and/or debt capital, always as a financial minority together with partners, international or Norwegian. The main sector for investment is clean energy. Norfund is Norway's biggest investor in microfinance through the Norwegian Microfinance Initiative (NMI), and is also a prominent investor in small and medium sized businesses through regional funds and direct investments. Norfund's geographical focus is on Sub-Sahara Africa, where the fund has three regional offices (Nairobi, Cape Town and Accra). In addition, Norfund invests in selected countries in Asia and Latin America, with regional offices in Costa Rica and Bangkok. Norfund seeks to hire local staff in the regions, and 15 nationalities are represented among the staff.
