Executive Vice President - Head Of Financial Institutions Investments at Norfund

Sandersen Erik has a diverse work experience in various companies and roles. Sandersen started their career as the CEO of Hands ASA in 2003 and later became a Partner and co-founder of Incitia Ventures in 2004. In Incitia Ventures, they were responsible for investments, active ownership, and exits of Nordic technology companies. Sandersen achieved a 20% gross IRR on the first fund and raised a second fund in 2007.

Erik also worked as the Chairman of the Nomination Committee in Itera from 2009 to 2018. Sandersen held former board positions since 2004 and was involved in directorships until 2016.

In 2014, Erik joined Norfund as the Executive Vice President, where they led Financial Institutions investments. Following this, they represented Norfund on the board of Arise B.V. from 2018 as a Member of the Board of Directors.

Alongside these roles, Erik also served as a Member of the Board of Directors in Nordic Microfinance Initiative starting from 2017 and in NMB Bank Ltd, Zimbabwe from 2015 to 2019. In NMB Bank Ltd, they represented Arise/Norfund and was a member of various committees, including ALCO, Risk, and Loans Review.

Furthermore, Erik acted as the Chairman of Norfinance AS starting from 2016. Additionally, they served as a Member of the Board of Directors in Advans Myanmar from 2016 to 2018.

Sandersen Erik obtained their M.Sc.E. in Computer Science from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) between 1984 and 1988. Following this, they pursued further education and completed an MBA at the Stanford University Graduate School of Business from 1992 to 1994.
