Ole Christian Bech-Moen is an accomplished economist with extensive experience in central banking and investment management. Currently serving as Executive Director of Monetary Policy at Norges Bank since October 2020, Bech-Moen previously held various roles at Norges Bank Investment Management from 2009 to 2020, including Chief Investment Officer for Allocation Strategies. Prior to that, a Senior Economist position was held at DnB NOR Markets from 2006 to 2009. Bech-Moen began an academic career as a Research Fellow at the University of Oslo from 2002 to 2006. An educational background includes a PhD in Economics from the University of Oslo, complemented by a Visiting PhD student experience at New York University and an MSc with Distinction in Economics from The London School of Economics and Political Science.
