Joan McCusker

Joan McCusker is senior vice president of risk and administration at Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Dakota. She provides executive leadership for Human Resources, Enterprise Risk Management, Internal Audit, and Corporate Services.

McCusker joined BCBSND in 2017 and has held several senior leadership positions over the years. Prior to joining BCBSND, McCusker worked in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area as CFO at the Amherst H. Wilder Foundation and at Lawrence Merchandising Services. McCusker began her career at Honeywell and moved to ATK in a business spin-off where she served in a variety of senior management positions in corporate finance, human resources, compliance and ethics, and information technology.

McCusker graduated with an accounting degree from Minot State College in Minot, North Dakota, and went on to receive a master's degree in accountancy from the University of North Dakota. She is a Certified Public Accountant (inactive).
