Mariafernanda Vilera

Mariafernanda Vilera has worked in various roles since 2007. Mariafernanda began their career as an Internship Research and Development Engineer in the Passive RF Department at THALES ALENIA SPACE in 2007. In 2009, they worked as a Technical Development of Services at Telefónica, S.A. where they designed data networks and developed services such as hosting, domotics, GPS, and mobile services. In 2011, they worked as a Research Engineer in the Displays and Photonic Applications Group at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid. From 2012 to 2017, they worked as a Research Engineer at Universidad Politécnica de Madrid where they conducted research on ranging techniques based on advanced semiconductor lasers and high brightness semiconductor laser sources for space applications in Earth observation. Finally, from 2017 to present, Mariafernanda Vilera has been working as both an R & D Project Manager and Industrial Postdoc at Norlase.

Mariafernanda Vilera has a comprehensive educational background. Mariafernanda began their studies in 2002 at the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, where they obtained a Bachelor in Engineering in Telecommunications Engineering in 2006. Mariafernanda then continued their studies at the same university, earning a Master's Degree in Telecommunication Engineering in 2009. In 2010 and 2011, they attended the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid and obtained a Master in Aircraft System Integration in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering. Finally, they obtained a PhD Degree in Telecommunication Engineering with a focus in Laser and Optical Engineering from the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid in 2016.
