Steinar Gilje Antonsen

Steinar Gilje Antonsen has extensive experience in marine engineering and management within the maritime sector. Currently serving as Maskinsjef on MS Frøya and MS Tyrving at Norled AS since May 2018, Steinar is responsible for monitoring, operation, and maintenance of technical equipment on high-speed passenger vessels. Previous roles include consulting and instructing at A2B and Safemar AS, as well as various managerial positions at National Oilwell Varco, where responsibilities included the development of training programs and technical course materials. Steinar's naval career included roles as Chief Engineer and Lieutenant in the Royal Norwegian Navy, where leadership in technical management and HSE was key. Educational background encompasses a Bachelor's degree in Leadership and Marine Engineering from Sjøkrigsskolen and various maritime training qualifications.
