Laura Bender is a seasoned design professional with extensive experience in technical design and management within the fashion industry. Currently serving as the Design Room Fittings Manager at Norma Kamali Inc., Laura oversees the production sampling process, ensuring adherence to fit and workmanship standards across a diverse range of fabrics and designs. Prior roles include Freelance Technical Designer at SheFly, where tech packs and detailed sketches were created, and Senior Designer/Senior Technical Designer at Jakett, responsible for developing seasonal collections in collaboration with the Creative Director. With a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Fashion/Apparel Design from the Savannah College of Art and Design, Laura has demonstrated proficiency in managing technical specifications, collaborating with various stakeholders, and maintaining quality standards throughout their career.
