Yang Zhang

Yang Zhang is a seasoned engineering leader with extensive experience in cybersecurity and cloud security solutions. Currently serving as the Senior Director of Engineering and a founding member at Normalyze since February 2021, Yang has been instrumental in driving data-first cloud security initiatives for the company, which has secured significant venture capital backing. In addition to this role, Yang lectures at San Jose State University as part of the Cybersecurity program. Previous positions include Architect at F5, where Yang developed an integrated SaaS AppSec platform, and Senior Manager of Engineering at Forescout Technologies, where Yang led the design and development of innovative security solutions leveraging machine learning. Early career experience includes significant roles at Palo Alto Networks, contributing to firewall technology and threat detection. Yang holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from Penn State University, along with a Master's and Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Nanjing University.
