Maria Scharin

Maria Scharin has over 20 years of work experience in the technology industry. Maria started their career in 1997 as a Management Trainee at ABB. During their time there, they also worked as an Oracle DBA and programmer, installing, configuring and maintaining Oracle databases and providing technical support, trouble-shooting and problem solving for programmers and end-users. In 2001, Maria moved to ExtraView Corporation where they worked as an Oracle DBA and Linux and Solaris Systems Administrator, installing and configuring Oracle databases, Microsoft SQL Server databases, Java, Perl, Apache webserver, IIS webserver, Tomcat Application Server and Jboss Application Server, on RedHat Linux, Solaris and Windows. Maria also developed maintenance scripts in bash and Perl. In 2006, Maria joined Ikano Bank as an IT Project Manager and Oracle DBA. In 2016, they moved to Neo Technology - Neo4j as an Information Developer, working as a technical writer and collaborating with developers to produce comprehensive and accurate documentation. In 2020, Maria co-founded ComVal Research and worked as a Developer. Maria also worked at Pink Programming as an Interim MD, working with everything and anything necessary to keep the organization going during the gap between MDs, facilitating the transformation of the organization's activities that were based on physical meetings, into an online presence, and arranging communication and creative workshops with the goal of finding new concepts to help keep existing sponsors engaged, and sign up new ones. Currently, Maria is working at Normative.io as a Developer, and at BTJ as a Project Manager and Developer.

Maria Scharin obtained their M.Sc. in Engineering Physics from The Faculty of Engineering at Lund University between 1992 and 1997. Maria has also obtained various certifications, including a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) Agilist (SA) from Scaled Agile, Inc. in April 2014, an Oracle Certified Professional, Oracle 9i from Oracle in December 2005, an Oracle Certified Professional, Oracle 8i from Oracle in June 2005, and a Project Management Professional from the Project Management Institute in December 2013.
