Alan Pengelly

Alan Pengelly has a diverse work experience spanning over 25 years. Alan began their career as a Design Engineer at Bachy Soletanche in 1994. Alan then worked as a Site Engineer at Aoki Corporation, where they were involved in a major road, rail, and reclamation project in Hong Kong.

In 1998, Alan joined Gammon Kaeverner Joint Venture as a Geotechnical and TBM Engineer, managing the operations of a hard rock tunnel project. Alan later joined BASF in 2002, where they held various roles such as Sales Manager, Manager for Underground Construction in India, Regional Sales and Marketing Manager for Underground Construction Chemicals in Asia Pacific, and Senior Manager for Asia Pacific.

From 2012 to 2014, Alan served as the Vice President of Industrial Division at Mongolian Star Melchers, managing a portfolio of international brands and key accounts in the mining industry. Alan then joined Fosroc in 2015 as the Regional Head of Commercial for Asia, responsible for sales management and budget setting across the ASEAN and North Asia region.

Alan's most recent role is at Normet Group, where they have been since 2016. Alan started as the Vice President - Asia Region, overseeing the Construction Chemicals Business Line in SEA, Australia, India, and Japan. Alan is currently the Senior Vice President and Head of GCCT Business Line, responsible for driving sales growth, setting budgets, and strategic key account management.

Alan Pengelly obtained a MEng degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Surrey between 1989 and 1994. Alan then pursued an MBA in Business Administration from Alliance Manchester Business School from 2000 to 2002. In addition, they participated in an exchange program at Boston University in 2001 for their MBA. Alan also holds certifications as a Member of the Institution of Civil Engineers and a Member of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers.
