Douwe Dirks has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries. Douwe has held various leadership roles in companies such as NORNORM, Epicenter Amsterdam, BMN Nederland, J. Walter Thompson Worldwide, Jedlix #ichargesmart, J. Walter Thompson Amsterdam, Media Republic International B.V., Glamago.com, WSX.com - Football Exchanges International bv, and B&H Holding - PlasticsPlatform - CargoFinder.

At NORNORM, they served as the CCO, focusing on building a fully circular business model for improved workspaces. Douwe was responsible for collaborating with major brands and promoting personal wellbeing, sustainability, and business viability.

As Director of Digital, they were responsible for sales, production of digital concepts, and account management. As Head of Gaming, they oversaw and consulted on European games initiatives for various clients.

At Jedlix #ichargesmart, they served as the Marketing Executive & Managing Director a.i. Douwe successfully managed the internal Eneco start-up and established partnerships with renowned automobile manufacturers.

At J. Walter Thompson Amsterdam, Douwe held the role of Head of Digital & Innovation. Douwe formulated and executed a new digital department, achieved double-digit growth, and led a team of 11 FTE.

At Media Republic International B.V., they were a Partner and responsible for the creation and international control of the mobile soap opera "Jong Zuid," as well as sales, sponsorships, and international licensing.

Douwe also co-founded and served as the Managing Director of Glamago.com, an online platform. Douwe co-founded WSX.com - Football Exchanges International bv and grew the platform to 24 million soccer fans worldwide.

Lastly, Douwe was a Partner at B&H Holding - PlasticsPlatform - CargoFinder, where they co-created online trading services, including the first independent global marketplace for polymers.

Overall, Douwe Dirks has had a successful career with a strong focus on digital innovation, marketing, and leadership.

Douwe Dirks attended Het Baarnsch Lyceum from 1982 to 1988, where they obtained their VWO (pre-university) degree. In 1989, they enrolled at Leiden University but did not complete a specific degree program. From 1990 to 1994, Douwe studied at the Royal Academy of Art, The Hague, also known as the Koninklijke Academie van Beeldende Kunsten (KABK). Douwe earned a Bachelor of Art and Design degree with a focus on Architecture & Design during this period.
