Richard M. Starken

Richard M. Starken, M.Ed, serves as a Learning Support Case Manager at Norristown Area School District since December 2023. Previously, Richard held multiple roles at Academy Park High School from September 2012 to December 2023, including Learning Support Case Manager, Credit Recovery Coordinator, Summer School Lead Teacher, and Special Education Teacher. Richard's experience also includes working as a Reading Specialist, Tutor, and Learning Coach at Therapy Source, Inc. from August 2020 to August 2022, and as a Special Education Teacher/Classroom Teacher at Archbishop Damiano School from December 2009 to August 2014. Richard possesses a Master's Degree in Education with a focus on Reading Specialist from Cabrini University and has completed postgraduate studies in Special Education at Neumann University, along with other degrees in Education and History from various institutions.
