Guro Jøssang

Product Specialist - Pattern Maker at Norrøna

Guro Jøssang has a diverse work experience in the field of pattern making and costume making. Guro started their career as an apprentice costume maker at Den Norske Opera & Ballett in 2004 and worked there until 2007. After that, they joined Den Norske Opera & Ballett again in 2007 as a costume maker at the men's department, making costumes for opera and ballet. Guro worked in this role until 2009.

In 2010, Guro Jøssang worked as a pattern maker at Den Norske Opera & Ballett for a year. Guro then joined Nationaltheatret in 2011 and worked as a costume maker/pattern maker until 2015. During their time at Nationaltheatret, they also held the position of a pattern maker from 2011 to 2015.

Since 2016, Guro Jøssang has been working at Norrøna Sport AS. Guro started as a product technician-sample maker and later moved on to the role of a product specialist-pattern maker.

Guro Jøssang's education history begins in 2002 when they attended Tillskärarakademin i Göteborg, where they focused on pattern making. Guro continued their education at the same school the following year, specializing in historical costumes and pattern making.

In addition to their formal education, Guro Jøssang has obtained several certifications in VStitcher from Browzwear. Guro completed the VStitcher 101 Foundations course in May 2022, and the VStitcher 201 Foundations course in October 2022.
