Matthias Scherer

Matthias Scherer has a diverse work experience in the outdoor industry. Matthias started their career as a Brand Ambassador for Black Diamond Equipment in 2007, where they worked until 2015. Matthias then joined Arc'teryx Equipment as an Athlete in 2008 and continued in that role until 2017. In 2012, Matthias also became an Athlete for Sterling Rope Co. and remained in that position until 2017. Matthias later joined La Sportiva as an Athlete in 2010 and held that role until 2020. In 2016, they began working as an Athlete for Petzl. Matthias then became a Brand Ambassador for Norrøna Sport AS in 2019. Most recently, in 2021, they started working as an Ambassador for SCARPA.

Matthias Scherer attended Lessing Gymnasium from 1984 to 1993, where they obtained their Abitur degree. Their field of study during this time was Alte Sprachen (Ancient Languages).
