Jurgen Mathijs

Jurgen Mathijs is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) management. Currently serving as the Head of HSE at Norsk Hydro since September 2017, Jurgen has held multiple leadership roles including Head of Safety and HSE Audit and Corporate HSE Manager. Prior experience includes EHS Manager & Projects at Sapa Building System Benelux and various positions such as Production & Paint Manager and Program Project Manager at Sapa Building System, where employment spanned from January 2008 to July 2017. Jurgen's educational background includes a Preventieadviseur arbeidsveiligheid degree from Lucina Universiteit Leuven, an A2 Mechanica from Technicum, and a Lead Auditor certification in ISO14001:2015 Management Systems from Bureau Veritas.
