Laurent Troubat

Laurent Troubat is an accomplished professional in the aluminium production and maintenance sector, currently serving as Operational Support Manager for Aluminium Recycling and Head of High Voltage Centre of Excellence at Norsk Hydro since August 2019. Previously, Laurent held several key positions at Rio Tinto from September 2011 to July 2019, including Carbon Operations Manager, where management responsibilities included overseeing the Paste Plant, Anode Baking Furnace, and Rodding Shop operations, as well as managing a 100-person team and significant annual production of 165 kt of anodes. Additional roles at Rio Tinto included Plant Maintenance Manager and Engineering Manager, overseeing maintenance operations, capital expenditure projects, and reliability initiatives. Laurent began a career in engineering at Aluminium Pechiney from 2002 to 2011, contributing as a Technology Consultant and Electrical Engineer on major global smelter projects, including substantial project values in Europe and India. Laurent Troubat holds a Master of Engineering degree in Electrical Engineering from Centrale Lyon.
