Róbert Németh

VP Digital Strategy & Transformation at Norsk Hydro

Róbert Németh has extensive work experience in the field of information technology and digital strategy. Róbert started their career as a self-employed application developer in 1997. In 1999, they joined Alcoa and held various roles such as Unix and Storage Administrator, Unix Project Lead, and Infrastructure Project Coordinator. From 2005 to 2007, they served as a Production Services Team Leader for Central ERP and Unix/Linux/Oracle/Storage. Róbert then worked as an Infrastructure Project Management Team Leader and a Storage Team Lead & Infrastructure Project Coordinator. In 2008, they became an Application Manager and the following year, a Project Manager for a Manufacturing Execution System project. From 2009 to 2013, they held different positions at Alcoa, including IS Leader for the European Mill Product Business Unit and the Global Packaging Business Unit. In 2013, they joined Sapa as the Manager of Global ERP Operations. In 2017, they moved to Norsk Hydro and became the Head of Enterprise Architecture. Additionally, they served as the Manager of Digital Factory responsible for leading the business area's digital transformation and Industry 4.0 adoption. In 2022, they became the Head of Digital Business at Hydro Rein and is currently working as the VP of Digital Strategy & Transformation at Norsk Hydro starting in 2023.

Róbert Németh obtained their Bachelor's degree in Computer Programming from Szechenyi Istvan University, where they studied from 1993 to 1997. In addition to their degree, they have also obtained certifications in "Managing Generation Z" from LinkedIn and "Working with CDF Basics" from Cognite, both in 2022.
